Purpose

La Venta Tica is a classifieds website connecting sellers and buyers of real estate and vehicles in Costa Rica’s South Pacific. The site is not a party to any transaction and the money for a sale never goes through it. It only charges for its own optional services (featured listings, seller verification, translator for a visit).

Advertisers’ responsibility

Advertisers guarantee that they own the item or are authorized in writing, and that the information published is accurate. Misleading, fraudulent or illegal listings are prohibited and may be removed without notice.

Moderation

Listings are screened by an automatic moderation system (rules and artificial intelligence) and may be reviewed by our team. We may refuse, hide or remove a listing at any time. The “Verified seller” badge only means our team has been in contact with the seller; it is not a guarantee of the item.

Featured listings and paid services

Featuring a listing, a professional account or a place in the professionals directory only buys visibility. They do not change moderation: a paid listing that looks like a scam is still removed, without refund.

Payments and translator

Services are paid by SINPE Móvil, PayPal or Bitcoin (Bitcoin Jungle). We keep no card data: those payments are processed by PayPal and BTCPay Server. The translator accompanies the buyer during a visit; they give no legal or technical advice and do not replace a lawyer, a notary or a mechanic.

Buyers’ responsibility

Buyers must check the item, the documents and the seller’s identity themselves, and close any sale through a Costa Rican lawyer or notary. The site cannot be held liable for transactions between users.

Prohibited content

Stolen or undocumented items, items outside Costa Rica, job offers, financial services, hateful or sexual content, third-party contact details without consent, photos you do not own the rights to.
