How to sell your house, land or car fast in Costa Rica
A good listing sells much faster. These simple tips make the difference, for a house, a lot or a vehicle.
Clear daylight photos
Shoot in good natural light, in landscape, and show what buyers look for: view, access, kitchen, bathrooms, land. For a car: outside, inside, engine, tires and mileage.
A realistic price
Compare with similar listings in the same town. A price that is too high wastes weeks; a fair price attracts serious buyers from the start.
Documents ready
For property: cadastral plan, folio real number and land use if you have it. For a vehicle: up-to-date Dekra and marchamo. Buyers trust a verified listing more.
An honest description
State the size, type of title, access (paved or gravel), water and electricity, or the year, mileage and maintenance of the vehicle. Mentioning defects avoids pointless visits.
Reply fast and stay careful
Answer messages the same day. Never accept an advance "payment" from a buyer who has not seen the item, and never share codes you receive by text message. See Paying safely in Costa Rica: SINPE, bank transfer and escrow.
